Artist - Dan Southall

Currently using - Custom shop, segmented Wenge/Mahogany 14x6.5, high gloss finish, black nickel hardware. Custom shop Teak stave, 14x6.5, satin finish, chrome hardware. 

Bio -

With over 20 years experience, Dan is a seasoned veteran. His articulation, power and accuracy are amongst an array of skills that many other drummers cannot match. His influences include; Prog, Tech Metal and good old fashioned “Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Dan Southall found his true calling when he joined the blues rock band These Wicked Rivers back in 2014. 

Since taking to the stage in October of 2014, the Derby quartet have impressed all and sundry since their inception with their brand of modern rock, influenced by (amongst others) Black Stone Cherry and Clutch. Their journey includes air time from Planet Rock and Hard Rock Hell radio to performances at many great festivals across the UK and featuring in many reputable publications such as; Classic Rock Magazine and Planet Rock. There latest album release “Eden” concretes their position as a high level contender in the UK rock music scene.

Artist - Steven Herbert

Currently using - Signature custom shop Bubinga 13x6.5, satin finish, chrome hardware. 

Bio -

Steven Hebert; a heavy hitter with precision and flare! A real contender that is instantly recognisable and not easily forgotten! At only the age of 25, Herbiehas proven his worth and a drummer to keep on your radar! Influences include; rock, metal and blues but more recently inspired by other genres such as; hip-hop, neo-soul, funk and reggae; incorporating new skill sets into his playing.

Steven HerbieHerbert is a member of the midlands based rock quartet The Howling Tides. Bursting in to life in 2018, they have seen success after success. With an impressive and successful release of their self-titled EP, produced by Blues Rock titan Aynsley Lister, they have since played some major shows including; Hard Rock Hell to Ibiza, Planet Rock Festival, Rockstock festival and main stage Rock City. Even winning approval from Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders, Thin Lizzy) and have been personally chosen to support Black Star Riders on numerous occasions. The band continues to work hard, show casing their talents on stages across the UK and the rest of Europe.

Artist - Jack Scarlett 

Band - Devastator  

Currently using - A Custom shop, high gloss 14x6.5 Padauk Stave, features 'Devastator' logo, chrome hardware. 

Bio - 

Jack has been playing drums since the young age of 6 with now over 20 years experience. Jacks love for drums first began after being introduced to Joey of the band Slipnot and later having the opportunity to see him play live. From that moment on, drumming was to be the way forward! Although predominantly a metal drummer, Jack has experience playing a wide range of different styles. 

Currently the drummer for black thrash metal band Devastator who have recently released a full length album with Clobber Records.

Artist - John Powney 

Band - Various/Session Player  

Currently using - A custom shop; mixed tone wood segmented 13x6.5, black nickel hardware. 

Bio -

Born in Kendal 1977, to Mary a musician and Ian a shoe mogul. John began whacking furniture with knitting needles at an early age. Somewhere around 1982-83 he was severely affected by the Scottish pipe bands at the Edinburgh tattoo and Kendal torchlight festival. Plus his mother took him to see the touring orchestras and his father was part of the local jazz club at the Brewery arts centre. 
John got his first kit before secondary school and was jamming with several school bands in the subsequent years. Age 15-16 he fell in with the local music scene big boys and began properly gigging around the Northwest.

John turned professional around 18, not only gigging, touring and recording but also teaching privately and in the local secondary schools. 
Many of his students continue to play and some have gone on to make music their career. 

John is now endorsed by London Drumstick Company and Murat Diril Cymbals, He currently plays with The Warner E Hodges band, The Seals, Seven Seals, Nick Latham, Bowie, Beak and Powney and there are murmured rumblings of a new tour band from the states.

 In addition, John is also an endurance drumming, with his latest challenge being The 60 Hour Drumathon https://www.60hourdrum.uk/about-60hr. In a nutshell, 60 hours, 40 bands, 1 drumer, raising money for two charities, Mind and Mankind Initiative. Professional drummer, John Powney with the assistance of life long friend and sound engineer Chris Edgar are taking on a huge challenge as John attempts to drum for 60 consecutive hours.

 

 

Artist -  Matt Jolly

Bio -  

Matt has been playing drums for over 20 years in various bands covering a wide range of genres, but naturally always drawn back to punk and rock! Currently, Matt is the chief time keeper and skin beater with the southern England band "Dead Jackals", who have just released their self titled debut E.P. 

Dead Jackals are a four piece rock band based in the south of England playing energetic rock, drawing inspiration from many directions due to the band members diverse influences. If you like that good old easy listening rock and punk vibe, you will love Dead Jackals! Only formed in 2020, Dead Jackals are working hard and looking forward to what the future has in store for them.

Bio -

Samantha Lubin is a drummer based in North London, UK. Her drumming journey started when she was 4 years old and asked her Dad for a drum kit for her Birthday. Samantha trained at Paul McCartney’s school in Liverpool (LIPA) and graduated with a BA (HONS) Degree in Music.

Prior to her degree, Samantha studied on the Diploma in Popular Music and Sound Technology course again at LIPA. Upon graduating, Samantha was awarded with the Zildjian Award, which is presented to one drummer each year in recognition to their hard work and dedication to their instrument. She moved back down to London in 2014 and has been gigging, touring and teaching relentlessly both nationally and internationally. Samantha’s favourite gig to date was with her band BABYTEETH when they supported Adam Ant at The Roundhouse. She came second in the Hit Like a Girl contest in the UK territory in 2021.

 

Artist - Lewis Jeynes

Lewis (24) is a drummer from Tonyrefail South Wales. He started playing drums at the age of 11, big influences growing up were ‘The Red Hot Chilli Peppers’, ‘Foo fighters’ and ‘kings of Leon’. After playing in many bands Lewis joined The 501s in 2018.

The band released their debut EP in 2019 called SCARS. The 501s are set to release their debut album late 2022 and are look forward to touring the UK in 2023.

Ashley Holden From Her Ashes

Bio - "I Have been drumming since the age of 11 and it has been a constant passion ever since I first picked up a pair of sticks.  I have been around the Derby music scene since the age of 14 and played in various bands including Poundaflesh which took me on many tours of Europe". I currently play in Derby based technical metal / djent band - From Her Ashes, working alongside Liam Barlow and unearthed music management.
